HoloPaintball Source Code Available

image

Back in May, I created a quick demo that let me shoot my walls and furniture with holographic paintballs.

It was a  lot of fun.

This past Friday, I released a master class over at LearnHoloLens.com, the premium HoloLens membership site I run, where I showed the members how to submit a HoloLens app to the Windows Store.

The app I used for that master class was this HoloPaintball app.

So I decided to release the source code for HoloPaintball…

You can get the source code for free here.

Dream Build Play 2017

Dream Build Play is back!

Back in 2007 Microsoft had the first Dream Build Play contest. Yes, 10 years ago. Then it went away for a while … like 7 years or so…

But it is back! And I’m excited about it.

You can check it out here, or get a little history lesson and learn about something new by watching the video below:

James Ashley, a fellow HoloLens consultant (and fellow MVP), runs challenges for HoloLens developers. I’ve participated in a few early on

There is another one happening right now and goes until next Tuesday.

I worked on this live yesterday morning on the streaming service – Mixer. Feel free to follow me there if you are interested in seeing me doing live development (or gaming).

The demo I created utilized the spatial understanding code to place 5 Meme posters on the wall in the room.

You can check out the final result below
